Handling Setbacks without Losing Hope

Amy and Janet talked about how angels can help us deal with life’s disappointments. It was a particularly relevant topic for Amy, who is helping her mother heal through a debilitating surgery. But, it is beyond the personal. Certainly, the the world is coping with setbacks in so many ways.

Janet, who is an Integrated Energy Therapy® Master-Instructor, talked a little bit about just what IET® is.

This is a very important subject, sometimes we think that the more we pray and get in touch with our angels and our spirituality, that we’ll be happy all the time. It is just not like that. Especially at the beginning of your spiritual path.

It’s All in your Head

After way too long off the radio, Amy and Janet returned to Angels and Archetypes to talk about the connection between your body and your mind: To heal the body, first heal the mind. The program aired live on blogtalkradio.com on Thursday, January 14th.

It is a tenet of many belief systems from Christianity to Taoism. Most aboriginal cultures. Ayurvedic beliefs.

The more spiritually centered and balanced you are, the less chance you have to accumulate the stresses that are destructive of the body. Negative mental states such as anger, jealousy, and dishonesty, which all spiritual traditions teach us to avoid, also cause severe stress and, ultimately, illness. By healing the mind of its destructive thoughts and impulses, we stand a much better chance of keeping the body whole and healthy.

It is an immensely powerful time in our world right now, where we need healing. Seeing this connection between the mind and the body can be a tool for bringing calm back into our lives.

The Power of the Edge

During the program that aired Christmas week, 2009, Amy and Janet talked about embracing the “edge.” Do not think of the transition of the new year, Winter Solstice, as “one door closes, and a window opens” — but instead, more complex, as an opportunity to embrace that moment on the edge of time. Trust in the moment. Know that you are in prosperity – and need only take a moment. To breathe.
